BORACAY – Celebrity singer Maegan Aguilar will organize a Halloween party in this resort island to raise funds for the victims of typhoons “Ondoy” and “Pepeng.”
Aguilar, who is the daughter of Freddie Aguilar, said the fund-raising event will be held at Ariel’s House where she works as a reservation officer.
“I encourage those who plan to attend the party to bring relief goods or cash and wear a Halloween costume. There will be winners and lots of prizes will be given to those who will be joining,” she said.
She revealed that 20 exciting prizes will be given during the party and the winner for the best Halloween costume will receive P5,000.
The generated funds and relief goods will be distributed by the River of God Churches and Victory Christian Church in Manila, the singer said.
Aguilar, who decided to work in this resort island to escape from her hectic lifestyle and schedule in Metro Manila, related that she submitted many job applications in several resorts here but it was Ariel’s House that hired her.
“I wanted change. I wanted to experience to be an island girl and at the same time, work for myself. I am enjoying this new experience,” she said.
