BORACAY – A Chinese national was found dead at a shallow portion of the beach front here noontime yesterday.

PO2 Aben Dela Cruz of the Boracay Special Tourist Protection Office identified the victim as Ren Shao, 28, with passport number G39131685.

The victim was temporary residing at Boracay 68 Resort. He was last seen swimming alone at Station 3.

Shao was brought to a lying-in clinic but was declared dead on arrival.

Dela Cruz said they are still investigating the cause of the victim’s death but highly suspects that he drowned.

The cadaver of the victim will undergo autopsy examination to determine the cause of his death.
