KALIBO, Aklan- The Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO), in cooperation with the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund Incorporated (PSMBFI), is planning to hold a training for Aklan policemen to focus on financial management.
APPO Sr. Supt. Clarence Guinto said that through the training, the policemen will learn how to properly manage their finances, lessening the risks for them to be tempted to commit corruption.
“Aside from the financial management, the APPO is also planning to provide alternative livelihood to families of policemen that will augment their income,” Guinto said.
The police, despite receiving support from the government through higher perks and privileges, are also being tempted to commit corruption because of the increasing prices of commodities these days.
The APPO has been identified as one of the major sites for the Integrated Transformation Program of the Philippine National Police.
