KALIBO, Aklan – After several days of intensive investigation, policemen suspect that Filipina Amy Roberts killed her Briton husband Paul Anthony Roberts.
Senior Insp. Arnolito Laguerta, Kalibo police chief, said they will be filing a parricide case against Amy.
“Based on the investigation conducted by the Scene of the Crime Operatives, the knife used in the stabbing Roberts was discovered in the kitchen while the hammer used in hitting the victim’s head was discovered inside the tool box kept inside the cabinet in their residence,” Laguerta revealed.
There was also no forcible entry when policemen searched the house.
But Amy, in a radio interview, denied any participation in the crime. She said she is a “victim” too because she was gagged and tied by the unidentified perpetrators during the crime.
“I could not economically bear the burden of raising our children alone. While I am indeed Robert’s wife, I have no access to the bank account of my husband,” Amy said.
