PETITION FOR THE REINSTATEMENT OF P/SUPT. ARNOLD P. ARDIENTE AS CHIEF OF POLICE OF BORACAY SPECIAL TOURIST POLICE OFFICE( BSTPO) AND HIS SUBORDINATES.

We, the Boracay residents, stakeholders and leaders of various civic organizations in the island are urging the PNP top brass to urgently order the Aklan Provincial Police Director P/SSupt. Clarence V. Guinto to immediately reinstate P/Supt. Arnold P. Ardiente as Chief of BSTPO and his relieved investigating team ,due to the reason that their transfer from BSTPO has no valid reason .

We, the undersigned petitioners believe what happened to P/Supt. Ardiente and his investigating team were injustice and purely harassment of people with undue power and influence, if this precedent will not be corrected by the PNP higher leadership, this will certainly create a bad precedent for police personnel in BSTPO to response with the same nature of complaint in the future.

We, the undersigned petitioners believe that what Supt. Ardiente acted at the time of the incident was just, proper and there was no impartiality taken place or whatsoever.

We, the undersigned petitioners believe that the Police officers who arrested the WINACE security personnel involved in the shooting incident was just doing their official duty.

We, the undersigned petitioners believe that P/Supt. Ardiente bold accomplishments during his six months tenure as Chief of Boracay Special Tourist Police Office (BSTPO) was a concrete basis and justification why we urgently petition the immediate reinstatement of the said Police Superintendent and his relieved subordinates.

In God we trust that this petition will be given a due course for the immediate reinstatement of P/Supt. Arnold P. Ardiente as Chief of BSTPO and his relieved subordinates will be taken place in the earliest time possible, so that faith and trust of Boracay residents and stakeholders to the BSTPO will restored and reinforced.

Done this 2nd day of June 2009 at Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
