KALIBO, Aklan- The Philippine Science Journalists, Inc. (PSCIJourn) will hold a general assembly and elections of the Board of Directors at the Science Discovery Center (SDC) Function Hall, Mall of Asia, Pasay City on September 4.
Angelo Palmones, PSCIJjourn national chairman and station manager of DZMM, said the general assembly is part of this year’s celebration of Science Journalism Week.
“We are inviting 120 participants including members of the PSCIJourn and the Campus Media Network, information officers and high school paper advisers. This year’s event focuses on innovation and food security,” he said.
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Estrella Alabastro will grace the event.
Aside from Palmones, the officers are the following: Aristotle Carandang of Malaya – vice president; Lyn Resurreccion of Business Mirror – secretary; Susan Layos of DZME – treasurer; Madel Sabater of Manila Bulletin – auditor; Ruby Cristobal of SEI-DOST – member; and Victoria Bartilet of DOST – executive director.
The PSCIJourn has chapters in Bulacan, Marinduque, Cebu and Aklan.
